what im saying here is that you are going trough all the trouble of sawing or drilling the fan when you can just tape a penny on the top when it makes about no difference at all

shave from the top or drill from the top
(the unseen side)..you cannot see it. i thought that should have been obvious to all. your number “.0001 watts per hour” seems a pull of the ass, but that’s ok. wouldn’t a penny taped to the top of a fan create more drag than cutting into the fan!? of course it would. so now what’s your point?

a penny weight so little it doesn’t pose any strain on the fan motor especially compared to when it was unbalanced it may be about like 0.0001 watts per hour and since cutting trough it or drilling holles in it may render it ugly and create more drag with the air and if you miss your shot you cant restart from a new blade

HAHAHA He doesnt know what hes talking about! First check screws, then if the blades are warped you have to buy new blades. If that didnt help then the blade irons might be bent. If not that then the motor is off balance. Blades dont get heavy for no reason!! Dont ever balance blades with pennys or any coins, use a blade balancing kit which has 5 gram weights in the box.

maybe just remove the heavy blade, shave off or drill out the excess weight and save on your power bill instead of adding weight and adding to your power bill. this has been a broadcast of gmodesike. thanks for watching.
