I’m in the granite business and the rate and time you are taking to get it done, it will consume too much time. There are faster methods of doing this. If you are a beginner then you probably will go through this steps but an experienced one knows what is best in what situation.

I been working whith granite and marble for the last 10 years and for me this is the best way to do countertops if you now that the template is done well theres nothing to worry. You’r countertop will fit righ.
Some times the home owner will tell you they don’t want seams. They want the countertops as seamless posible and big pieces come to play; example: center of sink or cook top. Only 4 inches of seam in the front and back.

there’s only one thing I noticed. That join in undermount is not quite right for me. my opinion, never ever put a join in undermount.

This video is about using inexpensive material to guarantee a great result with the expensive material. If a homeowner wants to hire a installer to install granite thats fine but I see no reason why a person with reasonable skills cannot make their own template===Bob Also I have used this method of templating with other products besides granite and maybe a homeowner could use for that also! THANKS FOR WATCHING!

Bob,
Stay away from granite is expensive material and a one time shot to fab you might hurt a fabricators pocket or a ruin a homeowners project,at the end you forgot to mention you are not a expert and don’t try this at home and your video skips a little,I’m a 25yrs experienced biz owner, by the way good luck on all your templates.

I would be interested in knowing how a way of doing something that consistantly work could be “totally wrong”.I do realize that there are different ways of templating countertops than this such as digitally but in my experience this is “BY FAR” the best way currently available to get a real feel for how your new countertop will feel and look Thanks for watching===Bob
