I made this chair / footstool I made for my daughter. Its made from cedar fence pickets I had left over from when I put in my fence. Finished with tung oil after staining. This is an older project I am finally getting around to loading.

This black walnut tree was taken down in August by a home owner about a block from me. The home owner for some reason had to cut this big black walnut down. Luckily I came across it and manage to save it from the fireplace. We shared the lumber and labor to mill it down [...]

This hollow form vase is turned from end grain hackberry. It stands 6” tall and is 3” wide. I was playing around with the finish which consists of various aniline dyes and tinted wax. The finish gives the illusion of depth within the grain pattern. All comments are welcome and appreciated.

I built this model before starting on a cabin we built in Utah.It’s all to scale and really helped in seeing the final result. We made several changes after building the model and seeing things we didn’t like.

Cherry paneling all planed with 912 Belsaw planer, double groove, separate splines, allowing non-kiln dried lumber to float without noticeable expansion and contraction All lumber straight lined using 10 in table saw. Grooving done with 10 in table saw using a 1/4 carbide dado head set a neutral.
